EcoBoost® Performance
It's a Mustang, so you know it packs a punch. It's the first EcoBoost engine powered by Ford Performance and it's not afraid to prove it. You like sharp turns and spirited driving? Then you'll love the 2.3L high-performance engine, kicking out 330 horsepower and 350 lb. -ft. of torque. *

GT Performance
5.0L Ti-VCT V8
This engine comes with a boost of adrenaline. The twin independent variable cam timing (Ti-VCT) technology improves fuel economy while boosting power, all while reducing emissions. The exhilaration is instantaneous when its 420 horsepower and 410 lb.-ft. of torque* springs to life.

Uniquely tuned and calibrated specifically for performance, the 5.0L helps make the Mach 1 the pinnacle of 5.0L performance. And with the Mach 1 Handling Package, the turns get sharper and the thrills get higher. Includes a 6-speed manual transmission with rev matching. With 470 horsepower at 7,000 rpm and 410 lb.-ft. of torque* at 4,800 rpm, you experience 22% more downforce than a Mustang GT with Performance Pack Level 1. Two side heat exchangers for track endurance keep this muscle car cool under pressure.

Personalize Your Drive
With available selectable drive modes, you control vehicle driving dynamics. Simply flick a toggle switch on the center stack, and handling and response are adjusted based on your selection. Choices are Normal, Slippery, Sport, Track or Drag Strip.
Smoothing Out Your Ride
The integral link, independent rear suspension helps minimize body roll and isolate road imperfections for a responsive ride and precise handling. Aluminum-alloy rear knuckles and H-arms help reduce unsprung mass.
Transmissions
Mustang offers four available transmissions, the manual, 10-speed automatic, TREMEC® Rev Matching 6-speed manual and the TREMEC 7-speed dual-clutch transmission, each designed to get the most out of your vehicle. Standard on the Shelby® GT500,® the TREMEC 7-speed dual-clutch transmission is the first-ever dual-clutch transmission in a Mustang. The system comes with multiple modes to make for lightning-fast shifts whether you're on the street or the track.

Selectable Electric Power-Assisted Handling
Three power-assist settings provide the type of steering control you want when you want it.
- Comfort: The least amount of steering effort. Perfect for everyday driving.
- Normal: A balance between Comfort and Sport for when you want to engage more but still want some level of steering ease.
- Sport: Requires increased steering effort, delivering a more immediate connection to the road.
